David Flick, Principal and Founder, announces that the firm successfully completed Section 404/401 Clean Water Act permitting for a hard corner retail development located at 175 th and South Lone Elm Road in southwestern Johnson County. This will help meet the demand for convenience retail service in the area.
Scientists with Terra Technologies completed a jurisdictional assessment of potential waters of the United States within the limits of the proposed development project. Five wetlands totaling 0.30 acre, and 841 lineal feet of intermittent stream were delineated on the property.
Due to the loss of aquatic resources resulting from the authorized project, the permittee must purchase 353 stream credits and 0.3 wetland credits from the Upper Osage Mitigation Site 1 where such surface waters are preserved through perpetuity under management by Terra Technologies.
