David Flick, Principal and Founder, announces that the firm successfully completed Section 404/401 Clean Water Act permitting for the Inland Port XXX1 - XXXIII Industrial buildings at Logistics Park Kansas City in southern Johnson County. The project will provide an additional 2 million square feet of warehouse capacity in the vicinity of BNSF Intermodal facility.
Scientists with Terra Technologies completed a jurisdictional assessment of potential waters of the United States within the limits of the proposed development project. The site is approximately 130 acres in size and is primarily agricultural row crop land. In order for the Corps to complete the required NEPA consultation, scientists with Terra Technologies completed the necessary endangered species and cultural resource surveys.
To replace the loss of aquatic resources resulting from the authorized project, the permittee must purchase 2.02 wetland credits from an approved mitigation provider in the service area of the project. Assignment of such wetland credits is anticipated to be completed at the soon to be approved Pottawatomie Wetland and Stream Mitigation Bank located southwest of Osawatomie Kansas.
