Relocating existing stream channels can be the preferred alternative to piping the stream or to building a retention wall when development projects impact waterways. Our knowledge of stream systems, their current and projected geomorphology, and the preferred plant composition of the riparian corridor has resulted in a number of successful stream relocation projects. Our biotechnical engineering techniques allow for an aesthetically appealing solution that is more environmentally sound and less costly than traditional hard-armor projects.
